Okay. I can start the dryer in its 3 catagories of Regular Dry, Permanent Press and just Plain Air Dry. Basicilly the same thing happens, it runs but then stops. Dryer is hard to turn in any of the settings by hand. Could it be possible that I may have not reinstalled the drum correctly and that is causing the binding? However I will say that when the service tech replaced the belt he stated that the felt tumbler seal should be replaced. I did not do so, and the dryer ran okay, but then after a time the dryer stopped and the motor would make the same buzzing sound ,but not start. So I replaced the felt seal. Any tests on the motor that do not require electrial guages, etc?

I did attempt to rotate the drum by hand. It does NOT rotate easliy. While I can get it to rotate it takes an effort to push it around. I have found that if I keep the swithch pushed in and reach up to the start button, I can sometimes get the drum to tumble and begin to work while forcing the drum around but it is not sustainable after a few minutes. Is the motor still the problem?

Dryer belt is almost new. The dryer started to make loud scratching sounds and then stopped. When trying to start would only make a loud buzzing sound. I replaced the felt front seal. The old one was in horrible condition. I had the belt replaced professionally, but not the felt . The buzzing sound was still present. Spun the drum several times and the dryer then started and ran. However, when stopped , it would not restart, and the buzzing sound came back. Second attempt to spin the drum result in a start, but when stopped, would not restart and NOW no buzzing sound either. Main fuse at fus box was checked. I am back. For the heck of it about an hour later I pressed the start switch and the dryer began running. I decided to let if run. It ran four about 15 min and then stopped. When I attempted to restart, I got the same buzz sound. It acts like something is sticking. The drum wants to spin but it catches and stops.
