After the recent power outages, my Thermador Refrigerator stopped making ice.

There appears to be a partially frozen set of cubes that is wedged into and blocking the mechanism. I turned off the maker.

What is the best way to remove the cubes? A hairdryer to melt them? Do you think the gears may be spent?
