there is a plug under the icebox does these have anything to do with icemaker

If it did fill up with water but did not release ice cubes then the ice maker is bad and has to be replaced.

does the icemaker have a green light on the switch for the icemaker itself, mine is not on if it does and the icemaker filled with water and frozen ice up there but has not empted iceout are don't know if it is working are not, there was a set of wires with some kind of connector on the end right under the freezer door, but don't know if it's the plug to plug somewhere to make the icemaker work are what, please help
