This fan is the evaporator fan (#610 at the diagram). If it's noisy then it has gone bad and most likely damaged the main control board. So, both parts have to be replaced.

Before you order the new fan motor, remove the rear panel in the freezer and check the fan motor harness to find out if the thermistor is wired into the plug or not.

It's not the compressor fan. It's the other one.

Hi Jeff,

If the dispenser lights dim while you were trying to turn the ice dispenser on, then the problem is a bad main control board.

There are two fans, one inside the freezer and the other one is next to the compressor. Which one is noisy?

My ice maker makes ice but it won't churn out in the front door. I was wondering if anyone knows what art I need to get to fix this. Also I think our fan in it is making a loud noise.

Thanks
Jeff
