If you turn the d/w off the water stops, but as soon as you start fo fill within 5 sec water starts to flow out the breather hole on the water inlet assembly. This continues untill the tub is full and then the fill stops at the right level. The cycle continues as normal untill water is called for again, then the same routine all over.

if you turn the d/w on and allow the d/w to fill, while filling, if you just turn d/w to off, does it still continue to fill ?

When the water valve opens it fills the water inlet assembly and water begins to flow out of the breather hole at the top of the assembly. The water level and float switch assembly are not filled. It just seems the inlet hose can put in more water than the assembly can let out. Any suggestions?
