	Perfect, thank you for the link. Has anyone changed that seal at the center of the outer drum's two halves? Any words of wisdom? I'm fairly handy and comfortable doing wrenching on cars, but I've never had the need to work on an appliance. I've thought about just getting a new washer, but my wife likes this one, so I'd like to try fixing it, if I can.

	Unfortunately that link doesn't work for mere mortals. That is for authorized service techs. I have one of these washers. I would also like a service manual, if someone can provide a link. By the way, how hard would it be for someone who's fairly handy to replace the "shell seal" -- that is, the main seal where the two halves of the outer drum/shell join? 	Well, it turns out what I think you have is a Frigidaire front loader that GE put their label on. Thought you were buying GE quality? Actually, these are pretty good machines.
