	thanks. i pulled out the heater which is a glass tube with coiled wire inside and notticed the coil was broke in the middle so i ordered it.

	It might be the main control board, the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater or the freezer thermistor. - Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint refrigerator Model HSS22IFMBCC Gene.
