Hello, Oceangirl. Let's try to diagnose the problem you have with your washer. First you need to remove the cabinet. See the attachment. Then, bypass the lid switch and run the washer with normal load. Pay attention to any loose wires connections. When you start smell burnt try to locate the sours of it. Most likely it wood be the motor. Keep me posted.
Good luck.

Ok so i did some research and found out that my problem could be the agitator dogs so before I put in my order for them I figured I will check to see if they were worn down or broken, your awsome video broke it down step by step, so I didn't need my husband's help. :) So happy I could do it! But it was not the problem the clips are still good. I am so fustrated. Please help!

 My washer started out with this weird burning smell every load I would do. Then later the
tub started hitting the side walls, making loud banging noises. Now the washer fills up with water and does not aggitate, spin or drain. I called a certified repair man to fix the problem and so far he has put a water pump and a transmission. And after installing them I was only able to do 2 loads, and I am back to my original problem with the burning smell. I ask the repair man if it could be the coupling but he said it was fine. I honestly don't think he knows how to fix it and I don't have the money to keep paying him. I want to try and fix it with my husband since we have done a lot of research. Please help!
I have put wrong model # here is correct one 110.29422800
