When the humidity climbs (often in Louisiana), the sparker-igniters on the cooktop start sparking on their own. They won't stop until the humidity drops at the cooktop by a): run the AC for a while, b): run 1 or more burners and heat up the cooktop.

I figure something is shorting out that causes this.

Any suggestions? I have the unit disassembled on my workbench awaiting a new igniter and wire kit to replace the igniter that began arcing and fried when the pasta boiler overflowed yesterday and soaked down the entire cooktop.

thanks.

Dave
