	I took a pair of Channellocks and bent the tab where the electrical connector fastens to the top. Just a slight downward cant to the tab and now the three small burners are sitting flat. Thanks for the advice. Knowing what it wasn't was a big help!

	The tab that comes out from the free end of the element to clip into the drip pan has a horizontal slot in it but it is not compatible with the design of the slot in the drip pan. That seems to be the cause of the problem. Looks like there should be another piece, a small clip that should be inserted before installing the burner and drip pan as a unit. Does this sound like something you have seen?

[COLOR="DarkRed"] so the free end is always sticking up 1/2 inch, give or take. Unless the pan is heavy enough to hold the burner down, the pan is tilted. What can I do to remedy this?[/COLOR] As far as i know there is no fix but perhaps someone else will jump in with a suggestion. Sometimes you just have to play with installing the elements till they sit correctly. Try getting the element as low as possible to the drip tray before pushing it back into the element receiver (receptacle) Make sure the element feet are centered on the drip tray. Check that the stove top itself is flat and not warped down.

	To get the model number I had to open the bottom drawer. Always falls off the track. Never had a range that was made so poorly. Thanks for the help though.

	A model number may help others help you. Model Number Locator I cannot promise much as it is a GE and they like to keep all info a secret.

	I have a GE Americana electric range that a contractor supplied. This one certainly does nothing to improve the brand's image. The burners do not clip into the drip pans so the free end is always sticking up 1/2 inch, give or take. Unless the pan is heavy enough to hold the burner down, the pan is tilted. What can I do to remedy this?
