Does it stop filled with water, or drain out with no spin?

Machine will fill up, wash, aggitate, spin, but stops at the Rinse cycle and will not move. We put new timer on and does the same thing. If you manually advance to spin and start it will start and finish completely. Any idears??? Serial number cu4730855. Thank you for any assistance.
