The key question here is whether or not it will go into spin, or is it that the machine just stops. If you can give us some more details we should be able to help.
If it just stops then the first place to check is the lid switch.

Hi,
Everything works but it will not drain.
I have been reading many other posts so I wanted to also share
when it gets to that part there is no noise (motor isn't making any noise at all)
not sure if that is important or not
then it worked when I tried yesterday and now today - it stopped again (draining)
Any ideas?
