we have a Performa washer and it just stpped working. It will fill up with water, but then nothing. when we put it on wash, wpin or rinse, there is a humming noise. My husband got frustrated and took it apart and banged on the timer and it started working. Then next load same thing, but wouldn't start no matter what tool he used to beat it. :eek: we thought it might be the timer, so bought a new one and replaced it. Still doing te same thing. any suggestions?
