No, your refrigerator is very different. Make sure the filter is new and check the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator.

Well I did what you said and easily removed the front cover. After closely inspecting the water side lever I realized the plastic pins that hold the micro switch in place had broken off leaving the entire switch to push forward when pressure was put on the water lever. Those pins help keep the switch in place so when the lever hits the trigger on the switch the trigger is depressed only thereby activating the switch.I purchased the plastic plate that holds both micro switches and It's already installed and working just fine. I really appreciate your advise Gene and hope this helps others also who may experience a similar problem. You have been a big help and I won't forget, my brothers name is Gene also. Many thanks, Fred

Hi Fred,

The front dispenser cover can be removed by inserting a screwdriver blade into the two slots on the bottom side of the cover. By gently turning the blade, the cover will snap free at the bottom and can be slid upward to be removed.

Thanks Gene for that info. How would I remove the front cover in order to gain access? Someone said just pry around the edges with a putty knife until it pops off is that correct? Thanks, Fred

Yes, there are two microswitches, one for the ice and another one for the water (#46 on the diagram).

The water dispenser is not working yet the Ice is functioning properly.
After checking for line kinks and the filter itself I was wondering if there is a micro switch that activates that lever?
Any info is greatly appreciated, Thanks!
