The coils are easy to replace. I would replace them both at the same time.
Here is the coil kit for your model dryer.
WHIRLPOOL Coil Kit for Dryer Gas Valve (2 Coils, New Style), part number: AP3094251

I will check the ignitor. I just replaced the ignitor (less than 2 weeks ago) as I thought that was the problem.

And yes, it just blows air after the heat at startup after being off for a while.

In reading the forums, I'm guessing coils. Looks really easy to replace.

thanks,

Paul

I have a whrilpool gas dryer that is not always getting hot. It seems to get hot the first time you use it, but then if you consistantly use it it only blows air.

I've replaced the igniter and that didnt' work. I've cleaned the vent area to make sure I have good air flow. I don't know if it is temp sensor or coils?

Any suggestions?

Paul
