Will it be ok just to sand that area?... Kelly, 1. Yes, you do have to use an adhesive. The part number for one recommended by the manufacturer is AP42842392. I believe you can do it. You can find some useful information in the Service manual. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for ADMIRAL ADE7005AYW | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

Almost two weeks ago a seal in the front that runs between the tumbler and the body of the dryer came out. I ordered the replacement seal - AP4046563 (37001132) Seal, cylinder - but I'm thinking I didn't install it correctly. It didn't come with instructions so I just looked at pics online of what it should look like. It worked for 2 loads but then at the beginning of the 3rd load the seal came out. Is there an adhesive you're supposed to use to keep this in place? Also, where the tumbler met the metal wall in the front in one section there is a place about 2" long on the tumbler that is now a little jagged and I believe will pull on the seal. Will it be ok just to sand that area? Thanks~ Kelly:confused: themeades5@charter.net
