The old stacked Frigidaire laundry center. This unit is located on our boat. While washing a load of cloths we smelled a burning smell. Stopped the machine and took apart the front cover. Discovered the belt had stopped turning and the pully had almost burnt through the belt.

What should I check? I am able to turn the drum clockwise by hand, however it does not turn counter clockwise. Not sure if this is because it is in spin, or wash cycle ?? The moter seems to be running just fine. :confused:
