The same thing is happening to me. The cycle finishes and then more water is added. Extra rinse is off. What causes this?

More info when my washer has finished the entire cycle and stops . It starts adding more water back from the top . Replaced the timer yesterday . The extra rinse is off when it does this Thank you for your help .
