I would pull the belt off the tranny pulley and turn the pulley in both directions. If the basket turns in spin and the agitator also moves, you have a bad tranny.

yes everything else works fine and in the delicate cycle the agitator does stop during the spin cycle but just on the delicate cycle

my agitator never stops runing continues the whole wash also if i set my washer to "example' regular washing cycle it will complete the cycle and continue to the next "gentle wash" this sounds like a timer switch problebm but would the agitator running non-stop be a timer switch problem aswell??
