The first thing I would check is the air gap (on top of the sink) for a plug.

If there is nothing wrong then disconnect the drain hose from the air gap and put it in a bucket. If there is no air gap and the drain hose is connected straight to the garbage disposer then disconnect it and put the hose in a bucket. Run the dishwasher and see how it'll drain. Post the results.

I can't find the owners manual to trouble shoot the problem. There is water in the bottom after running that isn't draining out. Is there somewhere where something may be clogging?
