Push the ice release to open it and then watch how it will close.

It appears to be completely closed, is there a way to tell for sure?

Does the door in chute close completely? If it's not then a warm air can come through causing a condensation and frost in the ice crusher.

The door in the chute does open but I have had times where ice would get frozen in the chute and I had to break it up.

If I chose crushed ice, I get the same result, no ice. You can hear the auger turning and a loud thumping noice but no ice?

What does it do if you choose crashed ice?

My system has worked fine but what I am running into is the ice maker makes ice fine but won't dispense it. The auger is spinning but nothing is dropping. I have checked the chute through the door and it's not jammed but I do continually get 1-2 cubes logged in the metal piece just about the chute and I believe that is what is causing my problem. How do I prevent this from happening?
