That is a sign of low freon. A tech will need to find the leak, fix it and recharge the system.

My refrigerator & freezer just stopped cooling.

It was bought in 2000 side by side model TFX26ZPDABB almost 9 years old now.

Compressor is running, pretty much constantly now. Gets a little warm but probably nothing abnormal.

Checked the defrost timer - working OK
Checked temperature control thermostat - working OK (Ohm'd out & compressor running, so must be OK)

Defrost heater not on

Coils only show a little bit of ice at the bottom
Cleaned the outside coils, they were dirty but this didn't seem to make a difference.

All fans seem to be running.

What else could be wrong? Any help appreciated.
