I don't believe in such miracles with GE refrigerators. So, I'm afraid it will do it again pretty soon.

Locate the main control board on the back of the refrigerator. Check for 120 VAC between the terminals J8 & J7-9 (orange) while the control calls for cooling. If there is no proper voltage, replace the main control board. If the voltage is correct, remove the start device from the compressor and shake it. If it makes a rattling noise then it is definitely bad and has to be replaced. - The main control board Part number: AP4436216
