I am having the same problem. I have a 2002 Thermador oven/microwave combo unit SME272ZS. The microwave has started cooling when I turn it off, even if I run the microwave for 10 seconds. It cools for about a minute. I know that I need to replace a switch that controls the door (the unit stopped recognizing she the door was shut and therefore would not run).

Any thoughts on how to fix the excessive cooling issue?

The microwave starts and stop immediately after a few seconds. Tried turned off the power and turned it back on, the microwave still acts the same. Please advise what I should do. Thanks!

Was a solution for this problem ever determined?

I have the same Microwave and model number and would like to know if there is any way to fix it.

I looked on the inside of the door frame and the model number listed is definately #15-11-157

If this is an oven/microwave combo then the model number most likely is on the oven door frame.

Hmm, it notified it as the model number, but if that's not the case, perhaps it's one of the following numbers:

Type: S333
F00074U60AL

FCC ID: ACLAP4u01
Serial #: 6HN2140243

Thanks!

The microwave's model number is 16-11-157.

This is not a valid Thermador model number. Verify and repost it.

Hi, I've been facing a similar issue with a Thermador Microwave. When you tell it to cook, it will for a moment before switching to "cooling mode."

The microwave's model number is 16-11-157.

Thanks!

I would suspect the control board. For more accurate advice we need the complete model number of the microwave.
