It was the ice line which was frozen. I defrosted it by squeezing hot water using a water bottle and a sprinkler system water line. I found using the blow dryer too slow. All works now!

I've had my Kitchenaid Fridge for 9 years and about a week ago (happens on the very odd occassion) the ice was not getting dispensed. So as usuall I cleared the ice and it started working. Well, ever since that point the icemaker has not been working. One common thing I see in these forums is to check the Status LED light in the Freezer to see if a light is blinking. So I found a set of instructions and the Status LED blinks once. Any ideas?
