The outer panel is attached to the metal choke by many plastic tabs much like the choke cover. I usually start at the middle top with my putty knife and press each tab as I work my way around the door. It takes some doing and you may even break a tab or two, but it won't be a safety issue when it goes back together.

My whirlpool microwave has developed a discoloration between the outer door glass and the door frame. Item 2 and 7 on the parts drawing. I have beed able to remove inner door panes(choke cover) but I cannot figure out how to remove the door frame unit AP3892363 so that I can replace it. It is stuck in the door panel pretty good. Can anyone help.
