Thanks. Looking at the diagram and explanations, this seems right. Where is the located. Is it behind the coils; i can't tell from the diagram.

You probably have a bad adaptive defrost pc board behind the control panel AP4909015

Model # FRS6LR5EM5

Evap. coils frozen solid. Replaced defrost thermostat with no results. A manual restart by pressing light 5 times forces heater to come on. Heater works this way. I read about replacing the timer but can not find it in the diagrams for my model number. Does the defrost timer have another name for this model?
