If there is nothing wrong with the wire harness to the timer then the timer is defective.

Here are the break down diagrams and the parts list for the Whirlpool washer Model LSW9700PQ0

waher will not advance thru cycles.you have to advance manually. i ordered and replaced timer(part #fsp 8557301) and it still does the same thing.is replacement timer defective or is something else wrong?
