John,

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad you were able to fix it.

On 2/09 I posted that I had put a 1/4 shim behind the upper screw of a whirpool oven spring assy, it is still working just fine.

Gene

The model # RBS305PDB2

I thought that the springs were getting weak from use or the heat, so
I moved the upper pin to lengthen the spring, but that didn't work.

The hinges have been replaced 2X and they work fine for a couple of months and then won't keep the door shut.

This time I put a 1/4 shim behind the upper screw in the hinge and it works just fine, we'll see how long this works.

Thanks for your time.

John

John,

What is the complete model number of the oven?

I have replaced the door hinges 2 times in one year.
The springs weaken in a few months and the door won't stay shut. After a while the light will stay on because the door won't close.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks
John
