We replaced the control panel from appliance parts about a year and 1/2 ago,because the buttons didn't work. About a month ago, when we selected a mode and hit the start button,it would not start. The start lights would be on and blinking,but no go. We did keep trying and ocasionally it would start and go through the whole selected cycle. It seems the "button strip" gets confused.
