My water dispenser and my icemaker were not working. So, I purchased a water
inlet valve part number: AP4298908. I installed the valve and the water is
still coming out of the dispenser or to the icemaker. I did work for about a
day, but then quit. There are three relays on the valve. A brown one, a green
one and a yellow one. The main valve, the brown one is getting voltage and when
I remove the water hose from and press the water dispenser so I know that relay
is working. When I remove the water hose from the yellow valve and press the
water dispenser the yellow valve is energizing, but not water comes out of the
valve. The same thing happens with the green relay, which is for the icemaker.
My best guess is that I purchased a bad water inlet valve. Any other ideas?
