You will need to pull the unit away from the wall, remove the back panel, and loosen the motor 9/16 nut, pull the motor back to tighten the belt, then tighten the bolt. Do not make the belt too tight! If the belt is slick, or has burn marks on it, you will need to install a new belt, not an easy job, but doable.

machine just started running slow everything else works fine is this a loose belt or something worse?
