Thanks Gene, You nailed it. The heating element was fried. I can see exactly where it failed, there are small bubbles on the surface of the element in the area of the failure. Also it is dead when I check it for continuity. I have ordered the replacement element. Thank you for your excellent help!!! Joe

Joe, The convection heating element (#298 on the break down diagram) is behind the rear panel (#248) inside the oven. Remove it and check for continuity. - The part number for the convection heating element is AP2031064Gene.

Gene, I was assuming there was only one heating element for both Bake and Convection Bake. You are saying there is a separate Convection heating element? Is it behind the convection fan? If so, I assume if I slide the oven out of the cabinet and remove the top or back panels I can access the heating element? And then just check for conductivity? Thanks, Joe

Remove and check the convection heating element.

Gene, Yes, the fan comes on and the "Heating" light comes on, but it never heats up.

Hi Joe,
Does the convection fan work when you set the "Convection Bake"?

It has stopped heating on the "Convetion Bake" setting. All the other settings still work. What is the most likely cause? What part number do I need? Joe
