First I just volunteer some time at this site.

Second the link that I listed now charges for manuals and is not part of AppliancePartsPros.

Sorry but you are about 2 months too late.

I registered with this site because you implied that I could get a FREE service manual for my Kenmore Dryer. I cannot seem to simply get to it. Do you offer such a thing or not?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for KENMORE 41792702200 | AppliancePartsPros.com

A common cause on these units is the rear drum support bearing.
They dry out or wear and cause a squeal. Othe possible causes are the front supports, the idler wheel or the motor itself.
May even be something has fallen into the blower wheel.
In some cases something has jammed between the drum and the units frame, though usually this is a grinding noise.. Bra wires are famous for this.

hers is a manual which shoul help though I do not know if it is an exact match to your unit.

You will have to join the site but it is a great source of manuals and info for the appliance DIYer.

Try to find out the area thet the squeal is comming from to narrow it down. Often this is not possible because the dryer acts like one large speaker.

If it is the rear bearing. Clean it and check it for wear. Replace if necessary.
If it just needs re-lubing use a high temperature grease.
Also when taking it apart watch out for the grounding ball bearing at the back of the support bearing. Once released they like to take off and play hide and seek which can cost you a couple hours looking for it.

Here is a repair kit.

My dryer has been making loud , high pitched squeaking, squealing sounds. Could you please tell me what the problem is and what I need to do? Thank you so much.
