Matt,

You have to have a simple multimeter.

You have to pull the igniter out as far as the wires will let you. There should be a wire nuts for each wire. Disconnect these wire nuts and measure the voltage between the two wires coming to the igniter while the control calls for Broil.

If you can pull the range out of the wall and remove the rear panel, then you can access the igniter wires easier way.

Gene

Thanks for the help.

How do check for the power?

Do I need to remove the back panel from the stove?

Matt

Does the igniter glow?

If it does but the gas does not flow then the igniter is bad and has to be replaced.

If it does not then you have to disconnect the igniter wires and check for 120VAC to the igniter while the control calls for Broil.

If there is 120VAC then the igniter has to be replaced.

If there is no proper voltage then the control board has to be replaced.

- The part number for the Broil igniter is AP2934763. You have to use the bracket from the old igniter.

- The part number for the control board is AP4041311
