Which part did you call "the element thermostat"? Can you refer to the diagram?

Did you check for 240 VAC at the dryer terminal block? The correct reading should be 120 VAC between the Red & White and the Black & White wires, and 240 VAC between the Red & Black wires.

How did you check the voltage at the heating element?

You also may want to check the power relay (#40 on the diagram).

Heat quit less than a week ago...Have replaced both the element and the element thermostat...still no heat...dryer runs, but there is no voltage at the terminals to the element...how is that voltage supplied?..any advice would be great...can't afford a new machine
