Thank you for your help. For some reason the washing cycles work fine now. The first time we tested it we used the rinse/spin cycle when it filled 3/4 of the way. Now it fills only 6" (which is what it is supposed to do) and we've done many loads of laundry with no problems. I don't know what happened but will keep my eye on this. Thanks again, you guys are great!

Yes, if the washer is empty it should only fill up to about a 1/4 of the way. Remove the top of the machine and locate the pressure hose. Remove it from the pressure switch and try blowing through it to make sure it is clear. Check the connections on the switch and make sure they are ok. If everything looks good, you may have a bad pressure switch. It's number 410A on the parts diagram. Hope this helps.

I called a service tech in my area and he thought, because I shipped this without the shipping pin, that something may have jarred loose and the sensor cannot read the fullness of the drum. He said the front load high efficiency washers should only fill up about a 1/4 of the tub. make any sense to you?

Hello donnyt3,

Check the door gasket and make sure it is clean, and the door glass as well. If both of these are clean, look for tore or worn places on the gasket. Most likely the gasket is your problem. Here is the part number for you. Hope this helps. Part number: AP4439732

I got a LG front load washing machine that leaks out the door when the water level in the drum in about 3/4 full. What could this be?? Please direct me to the appropriate fix.
