Take off the back and inspect the strut supports and springs. It may be a simple replacement of the struts is all you need.

Front loader - the tub can be pushed up about an inch or more, makes an awful sound when spinning and getting worse. local repair guy on the phone said not worth fixing. Need a second opinion on this please.
