Actually I tried that very procedure but was never able to locate the problem. Since the dishwasher is difficult to "uninstall" due to the architectural design of the kitch I decided to use the "shotgun approach" and have ordered a new pump, seals and impeller.
I greatly appreciate your time!

Remove the kick plate and get yourself a good flashlight and a small mirror.
The ideal mirror is the type use by mechanics, it is a mirror mounted on an extend-able handle, looks like a dentist's mirror just larger.
In a pinch you could tape a mirror to a piece of doweling.
Then lay on the floor and try to track the leak down.
Be very careful as you are dealing with electricity and water, not a good mix!!

The Kitchenaid dishwasher continues to work well but leaks on the floor during the drain cycle. During the run cycles there is no leak. I can't seem to locate where the leak actually is. Any suggestions? Thanks very much!
