I have a GE side-by-side that is leaking water from the bottom of the freezer door.
I also noticed that the ice being produced is foggy and quite smaller than usual.
The freezer doesnt seem to be near as cold as it should where as alot of my frozen goods are thawing out.
I've also noticed that the motor/pump is always on. It shuts off when i open the door then instantly turns back on. Is this normal? Poss a themastat issue?
I've read about clogged drains and so forth but feel as though this is not the issue.
Any ideas on the proper steps that should be taken to diagnose this problem further?
I'm not sure what the average life of this model and do know that it is at least 10 years old.
Also, the freezer and fridge dials are at 8 and 8.
Thanks for your time.
