Hi Stephanie, Locate the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Swap the wires between the green and red solenoids. The terminals are different in size, so use some extra insulated wires to make a good connections. Push the water dispenser lever for a few seconds and check if there is some water in the the maker. If there is no water, check the water feeding tube into the ice maker for any blockage. If the tube is clear, replace the water inlet valve. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3160649

We always left the lever down so that it would keep making ice. It just stopped receiving water in the ice cube tray...

check in what position is the ice maker shut off arm (#31 on the diagram). If it is down then the ice maker is turned on. Gene.

Mr. Gene, I realized that it's the Auger. I have ordered the part. I also need to know what is the reason that water will not pour into my ice tray. Is it the pump or the solenoid valve that prevents the water from going through.

Mr. Gene, it may even be part # 27 because it's on the inside of the container at the end where the ice drops directly into your glass also crushing it- it's that particular blade or blades that are broken off.

Part #28- the fan-shaped thing inside the ice container started coming out WITH ice but after it did that, ice stopped coming from the ice tray due to NO water going into the tray. We do get water form the dispenser though.

The little fan-shaped part that crushes the ice broke us into pieces and was dispensed with my ice and eventually the ice maker stopped making ice all together. The water side NEVER stopped coming out.
