I have determined that the adaptive defrost board is not functioning. The new board that I purchased at Appliance Pros is not an exact replacement. There are six pins on the board that compliment the old board except for pin #5. The old board pin #5 is marked test and the new board is marked door. There is no connection to terminial #5 and it is temperairly jumpered to #6 for test defrost purposes.
Pin Old Board New Board
#1 Defrost Heater Defrost Heater
#2 Compresor Compressor
#3 L2 L2
Skip pin
#4 Stat Stat
#5 Test Door
#6 L1 L1
My Question is do I loose the test function with the new board and do I need to jumper pin #5 permanently as there is no door function wired to pin #5 on my unit?
