I replaced the belt on my washer because the tub stopped turning. I found an old broken belt and replaced it.

But now that I've reinstalled the belt, the motor wheel spins on it rather than turning the belt. When I try to pull the belt by hand, I can do it - barely. And when i try to turn the tub by hand, it sticks going in one direction. Any idea what I need to do other than take the whole thing apart and look for something stuck or broken?

I doubt anything is tuck because the tub tuns one way and not the other. Maybe the transmission?

Thanks in advance for any comments.
