Check out the lid switch. Since the machine agitated the mechanical parts should be ok.

Washer will not drain or start the spin cycle, after filling and agitating just fine. The washer/dryer combo is more than 10 years old, model Number LTG6234AW1. I found a repair forum that indicated that the problem was "Direct Drive" coupling. I removed the water pump and motor, and the three parts that make up the direct drive coupling look fine. Any other ideas what might be wrong. Pump looks OK and the motor runs the wash agitate cycle just fine.
