Sounds like the problem is a bad motor. Does it start with no load?
If it does not then open the door, push and hold the door switch, push the start switch and turn the drum manually. Did it start?

i have a Kenmore electric dryer I've had it for about 5 months and it was working great now all of a sudden when i put a new load in set the timer and heat push start and all it does is hum.....what would be wrong with it? please help!!!
