Thanks, I got down underneath and there is a pretty good amount of corrosion/brittleness down there. We had a basement flooding a few years ago, and I suppose that maybe I didn't get everything dried out fast enough.
Being a lower-end model to begin with, would you think that the cost of repairs would be worthwhile, seeing as how the lifespan is generally said to be in the 5-10 year range anyhow? I could get something comperable brand new for somewhere in the $300 range.

I would check the connections on the motor harness.

Well, in short, the washer will not drain, or wash, though it fills just fine. For kicks I bypassed the lid switch, to no avail, as the problem remained the same. I tried running it on different parts of the wash cycle, to no avail, with no sound indicating that the motor is kicking on or anything of the sort.
I figured I'd ask and see if there are any other relatively simple options before I spring for a tech to come check it out.
