Don't worry about the wiring diagram, it is at the bottom left hand side Model PYE2300AYWWiring is simple do not worry about auto settings for now use TIMED DRY. Heater path is L2, MOTOR CENT. SWITCH closes when motor gets up to speed, HEATING ELEMENT, SAFETY THERMOSTAT, THERMOSTAT, HEAT SELECTOR SWITCH (C/L1) high heat, timer contacts H/L, L1 This is when the unit is running and is for heat only. Timer path is NEUTRAL, timer contacts N/TM, TIMER MOTOR, timer contacts M/L Even your timer contact designations make sense L is Line 1 S is start switch M is motor B is buzzer N is Neutral A is Auto R is Resistor H is heat Good luck

Did you verify 240 volts at the wall outlet, L1 to ground 120volts..L2 to ground 120volts and L1 to L2 240volts. Also do the same test where the power cord attaches to the dryer.

I've checked all the wires I can reach. I'm putting it back together now. I'll update, if I can find the wiring diagram for the thermo stuff. I had already taken it all out before I found this site. I'm not sure how to read the wiring diagram. :( :confused:

Here is your parts breakdown with a wiring diagram Model PYE2300AYWIt is for a PYE2300AYW but should be close to yours. Could be that the only difference is as you said yours had an interior light and the wiring diagram does not have one. Your light will be connected from the Door Switch NC contact to L1. Most likely culprit is a wire has come loose. You said that you checked the plug so I am assuming you have 240 volts. Also when you checked the thermal fuse did you disconnect the wire from one side of it to ensure you are not reading an alternate/parallel circuit path. I doubt that it is blown since the unit was running and would have had to run at your place for it to blow. I would also open up the control console and check the wires to the timer and start switch. As you can see the thermal fuse and door switch disconnect Neutral from the motor so both are suspects. Do not worry about the heater and heater thermostats, the motor must start up before these are switched on by the motor's centrifugal switch. I have just gotten a dryer from a friend and I got it home, and now it won't work. I have tested the thermostat, thermofuse, heating element, plug, wall outlet, and wires I can reach. All is well. It worked just fine before I brought it home, now it won't come on, light or anything. It's just... dead! I'm at a loss as I'm just learning dryer repair. :confused:
