Does this part sound like it could be causing the door to not open/close properly?
Yes
The door rides up and down the cam and stops on a down cam when it is closed.
Gravity then holds the door closed.
You have a cam on the door and one on the unit's hinge.

You said the refrigerator door but this does not really say which door needs the part.

Freezer door AP2115809 (Item 22A in Section 1)
Fresh Food door AP2115808 (Item 22 in Section 2)

Hinge AP2115808 (Item 22 in Section 3). Same part for both doors.

be sure to orient it the sanme as the original in the door.

I have a Frigidaire side by side, model number PLHS269ZCB4...the refrigerator door starting making a clicking sound all of a sudden... and I found a white plastic part on the floor, looks like it might have been part of a circle, I'm assuming might have come from the fridge. I was looking at the parts diagram, and I'm thinking it might be part number AP2115809, but there so many little parts at the bottom of the door it's hard to tell. Does this part sound like it could be causing the door to not open/close properly?
