I was getting error codes, mostly F2, so I replaced the sensor with GEWB21X5301. I just plugged it in with the terminal connector like the old sensor. I still get error code F2 and oven shuts off after about 30 minutes of heating oven.

I did not install per the instructions, which said to CUT the plastic terminal connector and use th HI-temp wire nuts supplied in the kit to connect the wires in the sensor with the wires of the range.

Could this be the reason it still does not work?
Why do you need to cut away the terminal connectors?

Please advise what you may know .
