no i didnt notice. I do have another washer that is almost the same vintage and im stumped because the other washer feels much tighter than the the one im using but yet nothing appears to be out of order.

Those are the shipping pins. They're put into place on the suspension to keep things steady while moving and installing the washer. When unpacked during installation, a cable is pulled out of The back of the machine. droppint the pins into those receiving cups.

Now, concerning your vibration problem: Did you happen to notice whether the tub leans to a side or front?

Have Kenmore washer that seems like its out of balance. Took it apart and found a pin and a plastic tube that the pin sits in on the floor. Looked at the other 2 pins and they were still there but not going through anything. Put it back together with the missing pin and made it worse. Need help. Don't have a clue. Very confused.
